Today was our last day in Stuttgart! And we wanted to say Goodbye in a nice way. So we made sure we will just strech my lunchbreak a bit longer and enjoy the trip to the stars. Isn´t that what you want to do? So we just made sure Sabine could be there with us, since we knew she was a huge fan of the Planetarium. Me, I never was there and I think neither was Jess. All I knew was that you could see stars and enjoy them in your full cool relaxt chairs.
Sadly the whole thing was in german, so Jess would have some trouble to follow, but hey, at least there would be stars to look at, okay?
The warning I received a night before about the traumatic experience with the chairs made me a bit unsure about how I should use them without falling backwards or getting shot across half the room by the chair that turned into a catapult the second you stop touching the ground with your feet...
But I have to say it was pretty cool! It was really a bit scary when the big robot thingy came out of the middle and it looked like it would shoot lasers right into our heads and we would die in the super comfy chairs. At least a nice death, right?
But back to the stars. It was amazing. And you do learn a lot *if you speak the language* but the feral naughty kids jut really got annoying with the time and I was close to saying "SHUT UP NOW!" but it was not my job after all, was it?
I doubt I can recall what we heard there, but for that 60 minutes I felt like I was learning a lot about the stars and the planets and why they shine and how they shine. I know some planets are strippers *Sabine, will we see the Chippendales??* and some of them are big red ones. But then again, there are blues ones and they are hotter... as if I really understood it. I just sat there, trying not to fall asleep under the sky and enjoyed my time. I did not fall off the chair, I did not got kicked off the chair, I did not got shot by the laser... and at the end even if I would, it does not matter, because we all will be dust in the end anyway. As we were told at the very end. I really had wished for an happy end LOL.
Please come and visit us again. Before you end as nothing but dust!

I would like to say that I am pretty sure that I fell asleep a few times. All I remember was the pretty stars and then some exploded and I am not even sure when it happened or why ... damn those pretty stars in the dark and the comfy chairs ... then again, I am not sure that anyone would not want to have a nice dor dor in the middle of the day.
I will go back and visit again before I am dust. That is what I hope for anyway LOL.
hey hey, i really like the planetarium, but i agree, what can be better than having a nice little sleep in the nice chairs. i think i slept there when we went there with the school when i was a kid. and my teacher woke me and told me i had to learn stuff about the stars to explain it the kids in school the next day. yeah... fun times LOL
