My Twister day in Konstanz

(Constance if you are an Aussie!)

On Friday we had to wake up really early. Too early for my liking, especially being that the night before I had hardly slept and I had then spent the whole day in Munich. We dragged our sad and sorry asses out of bed and we got ready to leave on our train.

We got some pretzels for brekkie, but we ended up not eating them as we fell asleep on the train. We caught 2 trains to get there and when we got off, the first thing we had to do was go and find the tourist information centre where we went to get a map so we could decide which way we would like to go.

We first bought some sunscreen and had some Maccas. I saw these really cool dog toys and Adrina told me that they had sold out, but I said that they were new and it was the Shrek ones that they had none of. I was right. I did not get one of the dogs though, they did happen to be a little annoying with their silly song and all.

We went for a walk and found the Sea Life centre. It was the same kind of place that I had been to see the fish the day before in Munich and since the one I saw before was really so cool, I just wanted to go back there. And a good thing to as it was different.

Inside we saw all different kinds of fish and even ones that were different from, the ones I had seen the day before. It also had different areas and a different layout to the one that I had seen, so it was really like a whole new experience.

Adriana was scared to see the big sharks, but there was none and I made very sure that there were none out to get her. I think that she was the bravest person on the whole planet because even though she knew that they were there, she still went in and saw them - and we even made the pics with them just so that people will believe us.

After that we went for a walk along the lake where all the shops are. It was really beautiful to be able to look out there at the calm water as we walked along and also when we stopped to have a coke that cost us a million euros and was far too big to finish all of it.

While we sat and had our coke at the cafe, we had to decide where it was that we wanted to go. We knew that we wanted to have a swim, but the problem was actually finidng a place to go that was not going to cost us an arm and a leg and was also easy to get to. We found a way on the bus and decided that we should at least take an adventure out that way just to see if it was going to be any good.

And what a great adventure it turned out to be! The place we found was just so cool! We got changed into our swimmers and then headed down to find a good spot to go and lay in the sun. We had to work out where there was no old people or beautiful people or kids with balls, just a nice place with some shade and some sun that was just perfect for us - and we found it =D

After we lay down in the sun for a while, we decided then that it was time to go and brave the water. We headed down to the lake and slowly made our way in. Luckily for us, the water was not that cold and it was certainly very nice the more we got in. We were brave and we got right in there after 3 and we had a nice swim. We got out when it started to cloud over.

We had a bit of a scare and thought that the storm was going to come over and ruin our day - and our sunbaking - but after about half an hour, the clouds cleared without a drop of rain and the day was sunny and warm all over again. We caught some more rays, had some chips, put our feet in the water (it was too cold to go swimming again) and then it was time to pack up and leave.

Befor getting on the train home, we stopped off and got some postcards for our parents and posted them then and there. And we had an icecream as we walked back to the train station.

On the way home we mostly just slept on the train, although we did have one go of the penguin card game and I read some of my book.

I am really happy that we had such lovely weather for our trip to go swimming. And Konstanz is a really beautiful place. I hope that my Twister will live there so that I can go and visit her there all the time in Summer and I can just go and laze around by the lake and do nothing but get a nice tan and swim.
