A day with sharks...

Okay. Its nothing new anymore, but yes, its true. I fell in love with Konstanz. It happened when I had a business trip with my work to Konstanz some week ago. It was really nice. I never went to the "Bodensee" before so it was a new experience for me. And when I saw the lake, it was like I was almost going to Italy again. Some might know that I will not see my beloved Lago di Garda this year! Yes yes, I know, poor me. Well, yes, for me it is a huge thing. And so when I saw that lake, I just knew, it is the perfect place in Germany to be (next to STUTTGART!!!) and then I just thought I should ask Jess if she would like to spend the day with me in Konstanz. So I would have the chance to see the place I fell in love with in one split second again. And, lucky me, my twister was right into it. So we just booked the traintickets and went for a little adventure in the early morning!
The weather was really great the past week, but they announced worse weather on the weekend and for next week. So we got a little bit scared, or at least I did. I had hoped we could go for a swim in the lake. Enjoying a bit of "beachfeeling" as much as we can. The summer this year so far was a bit mixed up. But, as my Dad likes to say, "When angels travel..." and thank god, we had the best weather ever!!! No joke. We got off the train in Konstanz and the weather was just perfect! Blue sky, sunny, warm... and we just needed to get some sun cream for the day at the lake. We did not really have any special plans, we just knew we wanted to enjoy one day of holiday feeling. And thanks again to the weather.
BUT... for those of you, who might not know, I am shitscared of sharks. No, there are no sharks in the lake, I know... but in Konstanz there is a Sea Life. Just like the one Jess went to in Munich. Not a big deal, I know. But look... sharks are really the worth thing for me ever. I am scared to watch a movie with a shark, to see a picture of a shark, to hear a song about sharks... you get it, right? So going to Sea Life where they actually have that tunnel, where you have to walk thru and sharks swim all over you, its actually a HUGE thing for me. Underwater is really interesting, but sharks... I doubt I will ever wanna meet one face to face.
BUT... I was brave. Well, thanks to Jess, I was brave. She checked the rooms for me and prepared me to what will come next! So then, when the sharks were about to come, I was prepared and ready.
They told us the biggest shark there was 1.70 m. None of the big white ones (thank GOD!!!) but it is big enough for me. Its bigger than I am. But I went right into it. And it was, I have to admit it, the coolest thing ever. I really enjoyed it. It was that mixture of fascination and fear. But in a good mix.
And I am very very very proud of myself, no joke. And thats why I wanna thank Jess for going there with me.

And after the sharks, we needed some lake time for us. We had a HUGE coke at a café near the harbour and we watched the big boat arrive and we saw families enjoying the time at the lake. It really felt like being with one foot in Italy. We just skipped Switzerland LOL
We found a place called "Freizeitbad Horn" and we just wanted to lay down a bit somewhere near the lake. The bus number 5 was taking us down there ( and we shared our seats with two very weird chicks, I called them WAGs eheheh!) but when we arrived there and realized it was for free, we found a nice place close to a tree, far away from the nudist beach... ewww... we just lay down on our towels, took our books "The Nanny" and "The waitress" and just enjoyed the sun. To be really honest, I never really thought we would actually go for a swim in the lake. It sounded like a nice plan. But would we do it? Nahh.... or maybe? Mhm... on three? Okay. You will? Will you? Yes. Okay. One... really? Two... YES.... THREE! And in we went.
It was so damn cool. And it felt really nice aswell! Just like a day in your holiday. We just had a nice time with our chips and the coke, music and the books. Laughing and just relaxing in the sun a little bit.
When it was time to get back, we packed our stuff, got back on the bus and just had enough time to buy a new journal for me (thanks Jess for telling me I need it. You just know me so well!!) and an icecream and postcards. Since we did not have any pens, we needed to get new ones. And then we wrote some summer notes for our families, before we went back to the main station to get on the train. Before we did that, we found a nice and veeery funny Photomachine that we just had to try! And trust me, those 5 bugs were all worth it! By that time we were really tired, but we did not want to fall asleep before we were on the real train that would get us to Stuttgart save! Aside the part where we had to wake that bloke to make him leave my booked seat LOL Oh and no need to talk about the whingy kid or the Uno girls... weird people on such a train!!!
Anyway. At the end of the day, when we arrived back in Stuttgart it felt like we were away ages. But also we felt good. Tired, but good, because we had a great time. I could repeat myself, saying it over and over again, but I will make it short, okay? I really really love Konstanz and I am very happy that Jess went there with me to have a great time. It was a day I will not forget so fast for sure! I saw sharks and stingrays, nemos, huge turtles and seahorses (I really loved those!!), I touched the teeth of a shark, I went for a swim in the Bodensee, I met a weird woman on the toilet at Maccas and now I know that life is sweeeeeet.

To understand how great it was you should check out our photos, they will be posted here later today... and trust me, we do not only look a bit insane, we actually are!
